Legend of the tenth month. 

Let’s continue the Thai tradition !... The traditional festival merit of ten months. This year is on September 17th,2020. The day we may touch the feeling of the Autumn breeze and think beyond to the love & warmth in our childhood.

Thailand is a country that has the basics of livelihood from agriculture. And this special day called “Sart-Thai” is a mid-year merit-making tradition of Thailand. The day of the ancient Sukhothai period corresponds to the end of the 10th month or the waning date of the twelfth month (Lunar calendar) is a belief that has been derived from Brahmin. We continue to respect each other because it is based on ancestor remembrance, gratitude, and knowing their merit. According to the belief that "People, who have passed away, will be allowed to meet their relatives in the city of mankind on the specified lunar day or the waning of the tenth month of every year !!"...On the same day, it is an opportunity to make merit and give a gift to their angel of farms and the angel of the rice called "Phra Mae Phosop" for the abundance every year. 

It’s not strictly a holiday for the company. But we may find a lot of Thai people try to take a vacation for their family visit in the hometown. "Sart-Thai" considered a festival of joy and ceremony. The harvested cereal plants would be the ingredients for the special sweet of this festival called "Krayasart" which made from some grains and honey or syrup. The main activities we should do on the “Sart-Thai” in every local area of ​​Thailand are going to the temple to offer food to the monks and pray. We may find in some local places make up the offered food in the style of lotteries or to provide food supplies for monks by having the monks draw a lotto and have the disciples keep them. By making merit, this will focus on the dedication of charity to the deceased...
